Once upon a time, there was a silly little frog named Fred. Fred loved to play pranks on his froggy friends, and one day, he came up with a particularly mischievous plan.
He hopped over to his best friend, Frankie the Frog, and said, "Hey Frankie, have you heard about the new pond on the other side of the meadow? It's supposed to be filled with the biggest, juiciest flies you've ever seen!"
Frankie's eyes widened in excitement. "No way, Fred! Let's go check it out!"
Fred grinned to himself as he led Frankie on a wild goose chase all around the meadow. They hopped over rocks, dodged dragonflies, and splashed through puddles. But no matter how far they traveled, they never found the new pond.
Finally, Frankie plopped down on a lily pad in exhaustion. "Fred, I don't think there really is a new pond. Did you trick me?"
Fred couldn't keep the joke going any longer. He hopped up next to Frankie and said, "You got me, Frankie! I just wanted to see if I could trick you. Maybe we should stick to the good old reliable pond we know and love!"
Frankie shook his head, but he couldn't help but smile. "You really got me, Fred. But you know what they say... what goes around, hops around!"
From that day on, Fred promised to be a little less sneaky and a little more kind to his friends. But he couldn't help but chuckle to himself every time he saw Frankie's eyes light up at the mention of a new pond.
